About Safety Grit Gritting

The Head Office is in North Yorkshire. Serving local and national businesses for many years, during that time we have built up a large team, with support teams to assist our clients.

Our speciality is winter gritting, that is the laying of either rock salt, or salt with grit onto areas where health safety becomes a hazard during the winter season.This is either manually, or with automated gritting machines.

But we are much more than a company who just provides snow clearance, and a gritting service. We are the only company in the UK who operates a core business around winter gritting, and snow clearance services.

Formed between two businessmen over 10 years ago, Safety Grit was a diversification, from the core business at that time. These businessmen saw a market where, the customer was not receiving the complete service. Customers and needs were not understood, or appreciated. Something had to change! The Safety Grit methodology was born, of course over the years many companies have tried to copy, and own it as theirs, but because of their underlying motivation, the copying has become watered down.

We remain as a company, focused, unique, but most of all dedicated to the customer, and their needs.
